• Mounds View Community Center <br /> January, 2000 <br /> Vision — 2000 <br /> Facility/Program Enhancement <br /> The following is information based on goals set for the year 2000 at the Mounds View <br /> Community Center. The information includes adding a Fitness concept to the MVCC <br /> which will add value, as well as a wellness component to the quality of life for Mounds <br /> View residents. <br /> Preliminary information includes: <br /> The addition of 2 treadmills @ approximately$5,000 each. <br /> " " 2 Elyptical crosstrainers @ approximately $3,600 each <br /> Two benches @ approximately$350 each. <br /> Additional weights @ approximately$500. <br /> Signage - $150 <br /> 111 <br /> Appropriate flooring (optional): $750 <br /> "Ball park"estimate: $19,300 <br /> Program goals <br /> • Outreach programs—Continue efforts with schools,New Brighton, The Theatre, for <br /> new development. <br /> • Teens—Establish a teen leadership group to help plan teen events, do fundraisers, and <br /> facilitate peer leadership groups. <br /> • Good management! —Manage what we have, continue to evaluate, and add new when <br /> merited. <br /> • Fitness—This addition will truly enhance our offerings, especially with the new <br /> showers. Marketing this new concept is in the works. <br /> • Aquatics—Program quality needs to be upgraded. Staff recruitment and retention <br /> will be a large part of this plan. <br /> • Financial assistance—We will be looking at ways to effectively communicate this <br /> offering through Y Partners. NO ONE is denied access because of the inability to pay <br /> full fees. <br /> • We build strong kids, strong families, strong communities. <br />
