• MOUNDS VIEW Exhibit D <br /> Parks& Recreation Commission <br /> October, 1999 <br /> August meeting update: <br /> • Residents in the Silverview pond area were given approval and guidelines to proceed <br /> with some clean up surrounding the pond. It was by request of the Commission to <br /> add the lillie issue as an agenda item and discuss a sub committee to look into that <br /> issue as well as others. <br /> • Park Dedication projects that are now complete include; paved trails as a <br /> continuation to Silverview trail, and off Silver Lake Road and the VB court lighting <br /> at City Hall park. Staff is working with the architects on the locker rooms at the <br /> community Center. The projected date of completion in Feb. 1, 2000. Staff will be <br /> discussing the disc golf units and the backstop net at Mondays (10/25) council work <br /> session. There is one set of park bleachers available for the commission to decide <br /> where it is placed. It is currently compliant. <br /> • • Updates on the compost discussion, drinking fountain updating, will be available at <br /> the meeting. <br /> • The Commission had inquired about having the youth sports philosophy posted at the <br /> community center and also in the parks. A cost estimate to doing this is being sought. <br /> Information will be available at the meeting. <br /> • Staff is still pursuing the opportunity to work with the Mounds View Manufactured <br /> homes. At this time it is in the hands of a few token residents to help with a door to <br /> door survey. The property manager will not start any fix-up work until it is <br /> confirmed that there is a definite need in that community. <br /> • Lakeside improvements continue. However,the fall "painting party"was moved to <br /> next spring. <br /> • <br />
