The cost of the
treatment including permits, materials and services and a dye treatment is approximately $2;300.
Lake Restoration, Inc. would treat the pond in mid to late July. Hopefully the treatment will
• last for six weeks bring us into the autumn months when weather cools and algae growth retards.
In addition, staff requests the City Council to approve the use of Contingency Funds to purchase
a Goossen Woodchipper at the cost of$5,600. There are increasing occasions where a
woodchipper would enable the City to chip tree branches rather than bring them the landfill. In
addition, the woodchips can be used in the parks for tree mulch, trail 'surfaces, and for the
public's use in landscaping yard projects. The cost of a heavy duty Goossen woodchipper is
$5,600 including shipping and handling.
' Mary SI n Director
Parks.
