CM OF
I11© _
qp Phone: (612) 784-3055
[JEW Fax: (612) 784-3462
"Quite Simply the Best"
July 13, 1992
Dear Parks and Recreation Commissioners:
Summer is speeding by and it is time again for a Parks and Recreation Commission
meeting. The meeting will be held on Thursday, July 23. The first hour will be spent at
Lakeside Park in a joint meeting with the Spring Lake Park Recreation Commission.
Typically both commissions meet once a year to address any issues that may pertain to
the operations of Lakeside Park, our joint park venture. After this meeting we will
meet at City Hall Chambers and take up the agenda issues listed in the packet.
I know that summer is a busy time and people are often on vacations during meeting
times. I know that the Commission was interested in meeting Steve and Jeff, our parks
• maintenance crew. However, Steve is on vacation during the week of July 20 and is not
able to attend. I will invite both men to the August meeting. Please call to inform me
if you are unable to attend the meeting. We can always keep in contact by telephone to
keep you up to date on activities.
I hope that you are all enjoying the summer months. It's been an unusually cool
summer, but the grasses and trees and lakes and flowers are really soaking in all the
moisture that the summer has provided - - of course this means more mowing and
trimming etc. I am looking forward to our meeting.
Finally, I must remind you that you can purchase your "Camelot" tickets any time. Just
call in and reserve a date. I will be able to give you your tickets at the Meeting if you
call in ahead of time. The prices are $7.00 for adults and $6.00 for students and Senior
Citizens.
Sincerely,
Mary aarion, Director
Parks, Recreation and Forestry
•
ePRINTED WITH
SOYINK2401 Highway 10 • Mounds View, MN 55112-1499
recycled paper
