It is our goal to complete an updated plan in early 1993. An integral part of this planning process is to obtain input from other parks and recreation professionals and citizen advisory board members. With this in mind, the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Commission is hosting a County-wide forum of parks and recreation commission members from every municipality to re- ceive input on the future direction of the Ramsey County parks and recreation sys- tem. We envision the municipal parks and recreation commission members to be in- volved in two important phases of this process: 1) to help assess outdoor recre- ation deficiencies and needs; and 2) to provide input for the siting of specific recreational facilities. To begin the process, the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Commission and I would like to invite you and your parks and recreation commission members to participate in a planning forum scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, 1992, 7:00 p.m., at the City of Roseville Council Chambers (2660 Civic Center Drive). In preparation for that meeting, we request that you and your parks and recreation commission members complete the enclosed survey and bring it to the meeting. We will use this survey as one indicator of deficiency and need within the Ramsey County park system. It is our hope that this planning forum will provide an op- portunity for members of the various parks and recreation commissions to express their views regarding outdoor recreation needs within our County.
