PROCEEDINGS OF THE MINUTES OF THE <br /> • PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING <br /> FOR THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> Thursday, December 3 , 1992 <br /> 6: 30 p.m. <br /> City Hall Chambers <br /> CALL TO <br /> ORDER: Chairperson Wayne Burmeister called the meeting to <br /> order at 6: 42 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL: Members present: Chairperson Burmeister, <br /> Commissioners Dentz, Trettel, Starr, Long, <br /> Stevenson and Silvis. <br /> Councilmember present: Wuori <br /> Staff present: Saarion <br /> APPROVAL OF <br /> MINUTES: Commissioner Stevenson made a motion, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Long to approve the October 22 , 1992 <br /> minutes. Motion passed, 7 ayes, 0 nayes. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> 11 <br /> 111 REPORT: .Councilmember Wuori reported that the City Council <br /> had approved the requested purchase of the park <br /> items including disc golf, Groveland Park <br /> playground replacement parts, Random Park Building <br /> flooring and carpet and new skid loader tracks. <br /> GOLF COURSE <br /> UPDATE: Commissioner Stevenson reported that the Task <br /> Force requested additional concept plans for a <br /> nine hole course. Also, SEH has been requested to <br /> submit an alternate proposal to the Army Corps of <br /> Engineers requesting the wetland to be altered in <br /> oval shape rather than the round shape so that one <br /> hole could be played along one side of the <br /> wetland. <br /> SECURITY <br /> LIGHT REC. The Commission reviewed the request by <br /> Councilmember Quick regarding the security light <br /> • <br /> at Groveland Park. After discussion Commissioner <br /> Long made a motion seconded by Commissioner Dentz <br /> that the security light be left as is. Motion <br /> passed with 7 ayes and 0 nayes. <br /> • UPDATES: Director Saarion updated the Commission on new <br /> winter programs and reviewed a few of the special <br /> events that have taken place.
