After submitting notice, she <br />requested to stay on in the Finance Department as a non-exempt part-time Accounts Payable Technician. Ms. <br />Quasabart was an exempt Accountant, employed with the City for 12 years (start date April 4, 2011).Ms. Quasabart <br />went from a higher paying, exempt position and at this time would like to receive separation compensation of her <br />accrued time at the higher wage. <br />Discussion <br />Section 2.11 of the City of Mounds View Personnel Manual, non -union exempt employees upon separation from <br />the City, who have completed two (2) or more years of service and leave in good standing shall contribute 100% of <br />accrued vacation compensation to the Retirement Health Savings Plan (RHSP). Employees who have completed <br />two (2) or more years of service and leave the City in good standing shall contribute their eligible sick leave hours, <br />converted at the rate of 50%, to their RHSP. Ms. Quasabart has current leave balances of: 289.08 hours vacation <br />and has requested to keep a balance of 60 hours to use, which will be paid at her current part-time rate (289.08 — <br />60 = 229.08).
