RESOLUTION NO. 9756 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CHICKEN -KEEPING LICENSE FOR <br />SARAH CURTIS, 7660 SPRING LAKE ROAD <br />WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance 903, which amended Chapter 701 <br />of the Municipal Code to provide limited and controlled raising and keeping of chickens <br />and/or ducks on properties zoned R-1, Single Family Residential; and <br />WHEREAS, Sarah Curtis has submitted an application with an approved site plan <br />and the appropriate fees to keep and raise chickens on her property located at 7660 <br />Spring Lake Road; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the application and it appears to meet all <br />requirements set forth in Ordinance 903; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Ordinance 903, initial applications shall be <br />considered by the City Council after holding a public hearing, which was held June 12, <br />2023. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby approve a Chicken -Keeping License for Sarah Curtis, 7660 Spring Lake Road, for <br />no more than eight chickens or eight ducks or a combination of both; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this license will expire December 31, 2023. <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that this license may be revoked or denied by the <br />City Council based on negligence, nuisance, or violation of Ordinance 903. <br />Adopted this 12t" day of June, 2023. <br />Gary Meehlhause, Acting Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Brian Beeman, Acting City Administrator <br />(Seal) <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
