While cities have little authority <br /> regarding school facility scheduling and maintenance, some facilities have joint powers agreement <br /> history such as Edgewood facilities which offers a little more opportunity for the City to become a <br /> partner in ensuring community use and upkeep of the facilities. When it comes to the High <br /> Schools, cities have little influence regarding maintenance and scheduling of athletic fields. <br /> Additional meetings will be scheduled in the future in an attempt to serve the community needs <br /> for the use of school and city athletic facilities. <br /> FORESTRY: <br /> Rick's crew continues to trim park trees. This week they trimmed Groveland Park trees. Hardest <br /> hit were the trees located along the athletic field sidelines and behind the backstop. Rick informed <br /> me that the parks trees are getting large enough that hand trimming is almost impossible - and <br /> future contract trimming will be necessary. <br /> CABLE TV: <br /> Pat has been over-booked with all the cable coverage for candidates. The month of October will <br /> require more time than usual because of all the requests for taping coverage, in addition to the <br /> regular monthly programs. In addition, Jerry Skelly Sr. and Pat are working to complete the "Srs. <br /> On the Run" episode that needs a wrap-up. <br /> • <br /> • <br />
