The City <br />Council has authorized purchase and installation of new water meters. <br />Discussion: <br />To facilitate conversion from our current Neptune readers to the Mueller readers it is <br />necessary to purchase software and services from Tyler Technologies. Tyler <br />Technologies will provide an interface between Mueller AMI software (reading) and our <br />utility billing software. They will also provide sync files that will upload newly installed <br />meter information to the utility billing software. The software and services will have an <br />initial cost of $21,190 with annual maintenance of $3,000 with a 5% inflator. <br />Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: Financial Stability by improving efficiency and reducing <br />the need to hire additional staff. <br />Financial Impact: $21,190 one-time cost included in the Water Fund as part of the water <br />meter project. Annual support costs are $3,000 with a 5% inflator to be spread to the <br />Water and Sanitary Sewer funds. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that City Council consider authorizing staff to purchase the Utility <br />Billing interface software from Tyler Technologies. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />M�2r�Z _Peer <br />Mark Beer, Finance Director <br />
