RESOLUTION NO. 9789 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH TUBMAN TO <br />PROVIDE PUBLIC SAFETY AND GENERAL WELFARE RELATED SERVICES <br />ADDRESSING DOMESTIC ABUSE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View ("City") desires to enter into a professional <br />services agreement (the "Agreement") a version of which is attached to this resolution <br />as Exhibit A, with Tubman, a non-profit corporation, to provide services to victims of <br />domestic abuse and that are otherwise related to addressing domestic abuse within the <br />city of Mounds View; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that authorizing such an agreement is in <br />the best interest of the public and will provide for public safety and the general welfare <br />of the people of Mounds View. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Minnesota that the Agreement is approved in substantially the form presented to <br />the City Council and included in this Resolution as Exhibit A, subject only to <br />modifications that are approved by the City Attorney and do not alter the general <br />substance of the Agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Minnesota that the proper City staff and officials are authorized to <br />execute the final version of the Contract and take all actions necessary to carry out the <br />intent of this Resolution. <br />Adopted this 14th day of August 2023. <br />Gary Meehlhause, Acting Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
