RESOLUTION NO. 9788 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING SEPARATION COMPENSATION FOR <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR JON SEVALD <br />WHEREAS, Community Development Director Jon Sevald submitted his resignation to <br />pursue other job opportunities, with a last employment date of August 18, 2023; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2.11 Retirement Health Savings Plan (RHSP) of <br />the City of Mounds View Personnel Manual, exempt employees who have two (2) or more years <br />of service and leave City employment in good standing shall contribute 100% of accrued <br />vacation compensation to the RHSP; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the City of Mounds View Personnel Manual, employees <br />who have completed two (2) or more years of service and leave the City in good standing shall <br />contribute their eligible sick leave hours, converted at the rate of 50%, to their RHSP; and <br />WHEREAS, Community Development Director Jon Sevald has a current leave balance <br />of 248.86 hours vacation and 624.70 hours sick time (50% - 312.35 hours); and <br />WHEREAS, the rate of pay for Community Development Director Jon Sevald upon <br />resignation was $58.25 per hour. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves <br />separation compensation to Community Development Director Jon Sevald consistent with <br />Section 2.11 of the City of Mounds View Personnel Manual as follows: <br />Hours <br />Hourly rate <br />Payout <br />Vacation Hours <br />248.86 <br />$58.25 <br />$14,496.10 Into RHSP <br />50% Sick Leave <br />312.35 <br />$58.25 <br />$18,194.39 Into RHSP <br />Estimated Total Separation Compensation: <br />$32,690.49 <br />ATTEST,, <br />(seal) <br />Adopted this 14t" day of August, 2023. <br />'�Y � <br />Gary Meehlhause, Acting Mayor <br />)�'u 1,J <br />NylZiklhund, City Administrator <br />
