RESOLUTION NO.9799 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF APPRAISED <br />VALUES, OFFERS OF COMPENSATION, AND ACQUISITION <br />BY EMINENT DOMAIN FOR THE LONG LAKE WOODS <br />SECOND ADDITION PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it necessary and expedient that the City of Mounds <br />View, Minnesota (the "City") construct certain improvements, to -wit: the Long Lake Woods <br />Second Addition project (the "Project") and authorized the City to enter into certain agreements <br />to facilitate the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Project includes the acquisition of additional right of way needed for the <br />construction of an extension to the existing Greenwood Drive, a City Street of the City of Mounds <br />View, and for associated utility and stormwater improvements along and beneath Greenwood <br />Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the final plans and specifications for the <br />Project; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to acquire certain real property interests, as described and <br />depicted in the attached Exhibit A, to construct and maintain the public facilities necessary for the <br />Project (collectively, the "Real Property Interests"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Real Property Interests are proposed to be <br />acquired for the public use and public purpose of constructing, improving, and maintaining the <br />public roadway and utility facilities proposed to be constructed as part of the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is reasonably necessary, proper, and convenient, <br />and in the interest of the general welfare that the City acquire title to and possession of the Real <br />Property Interests in furtherance of the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the construction schedule for the Project makes it <br />necessary to acquire title to and possession of the Real Property Interests prior to the filing of the <br />final report of the condemnation commissioners to be appointed by the district court; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has engaged independent real estate appraisers to provide the City <br />with the appraisers' opinions of damages caused by the City's acquisition of the Real Property <br />Interests needed for the Project. <br />DOC S OP EN-M U210-262-793229. v4-7/ 12/23 <br />
