PUBLIC HEARING: Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance 1008, <br />13 Amending Chapter 12 of the City of Mounds View Charter by adding a New <br />14 Section 12.16 adding a Severability Clause to the Charter. <br />15 <br />16 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council introduce an Ordinance that would amend <br />17 Chapter 12 of the City of Mounds View Charter by adding a new Section 12.16 adding a <br />18 Severability Clause to the chapter. He reviewed the proposed language change and reported this <br />19 item was coming to the City Council from the Charter Commission and does need to be adopted <br />20 by the full Council. <br />21 <br />22 Acting Mayor Meehlhause opened the public hearing at 6:33 p.m. <br />23 <br />24 Rebecca Scholl Shea}, 2467 Hillview Road, explained she serves served as the Vice Chair of the <br />25 Charter Commission. She reported the Charter had a severability clause, but it was within a specific <br />26 chapter. She indicated this language was pulled out in order to ensure it applies to the entire <br />27 Charter. <br />28 <br />29 Hearing no further public input, Acting Mayor Meehlhause closed the public hearing at 6:35 p.m. <br />30 <br />31 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Cermak. Resolution 9799, Take from Table — Approving Right of Way Acquisition — <br />38 Long Lake Woods Second Addition. <br />39 <br />40 Acting Mayor Meehlhause removed this item from the table. <br />41 <br />42 City Administrator Zikmund requested the council approve the right of way acquisition for Long <br />43 Lake Woods Second Addition. He explained this project was being proposed by seven long-term <br />44 residents who wish to subdivide their properties in order to create a small single family housing <br />45 development with 12 single family lots.
