RESOLUTION 9811 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING VARIOUS SIDEWALK PANEL REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS AT <br />THE COMMUNITY CENTER <br />WHEREAS, Weather conditions and the age of the sidewalk at the Community <br />Center has created unsafe pedestrian travel on the sidewalks due to upheaval, broken <br />concrete panels and separation; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has marked several sidewalk panels that need to be repaired <br />and or replaced; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff contacted two contractors to provide a quote to facilitate the <br />repairs: <br />■ D & S Concrete & Masonry $14,100.00 <br />■ Schmidt Curb Company Inc $17,350.00 <br />WHEREAS, the funding for these repairs is budgeted in the Special Project Fund, <br />480-4160-3030, which includes $30,000.00 for the painting at the Community Center. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The City hereby approves the quote from D & S Concrete & Masonry of Fridley <br />MN, for $14,100.00 for sidewalk panel repairs and replacements, and install <br />curbing to allow for better drainage from the roof down spouts <br />2. Funding will be from the Special Project Fund, 480-4160-3030. <br />3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by <br />this resolution. <br />4.
