•�' 0, <br />1 <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />Item No: 8E <br />Meeting Date: October 23, 2023 <br />Type of Business: Council Business <br />City Administrator Review: <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 1009; Amending the Mounds <br />View City Charter to by Making Administrative Consistency and <br />Typographical Changes throughout the Charter <br />Introduction <br />The City's existing home rule Charter contains numerous inconsistencies including <br />typographical, punctuation, and spelling errors in multiple chapters. The Charter <br />Commission has been reviewing the Charter to determine where the errors exist <br />throughout. <br />Discussion <br />After discussion over several meetings, the Charter Commission has determined that the <br />City Charter should be amended to make the needed administrative consistency and <br />typographical changes throughout the Charter. On September 19, 2023 the Charter <br />Commission approved Resolution 2023-03 recommending amending of the Charter by <br />ordinance. On September 25, 2023, the City Council held the first reading.
