Item #: 7B <br />Meeting Date: November 16, 2023 <br />Type of Business: EDC <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Economic Development Commission <br />From: Brian Beeman, Assistant City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution NO. 23-EDC-49 Establishing the EDC Meeting <br />Calendar for 2024 <br />Background <br />Section 408.07 of the Mounds View Municipal Code and the EDC Bylaws require that <br />the Economic Development Commission establish a meeting calendar. The EDC did <br />this last November for 2022. The Bylaws also specify that the meetings shall occur on <br />the third Thursday of each month which can be amended by a resolution. The <br />Commission has traditionally met at 7:30 am. It is recommended that the EDC meetings <br />be held on the third Thursday of each month as-needed at 7:30 a.m. A resolution has <br />been prepared to reflect those dates. <br />The following dates represent the third Thursdays through 2024. <br />January 18, 2024 February 15, 2024 March 21, 2024 <br />April 18, 2024 May 16, 2024 June 20, 2024 <br />July 18, 2024 August 15, 2024 September 19, 2024 <br />October 17, 2024 November 21, 2024 December 26, 2024 <br />It does not appear that any of the above dates conflict with observed holidays. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends the Commission make a motion to approve Resolution NO. 23-EDC- <br />49 establishing the calendar of meeting dates for 2024 and confirm the time of day. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />____________________________ <br />Brian Beeman, Assistant City Administrator <br />Attachment(s): <br />1.Resolution NO. 23-EDC-49
