Resolution 23-EDA-366, Authorizing the Purchase of Real Property. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the EDA consider the purchase of the property at 3 <br />2716 Hillview Road. He explained the EDA discussed this purchase at their September 25 4 <br />meeting. He commented further on the purchase agreement and recommended approval. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Commissioner Meehlhause asked if this property could tie into the adjacent bank property. 7 <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman stated this would be an option for future development and 8 <br />noted staff has spoken with the bank owners about this potential. 9 <br /> 10 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Lindstrom/Gunn. Resolution 23-EDA-367, Authorizing the Purchase of Real Property. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the EDA consider the purchase of the property at 18 <br />2833 Mounds View Boulevard, which was adjacent to Steve’s Appliance along the Mounds 19 <br />View Boulevard corridor. He explained the EDA discussed this purchase at their September 25 20 <br />meeting. He commented further on the purchase agreement and recommended approval. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Commissioner Meehlhause asked how the EDA would fund the purchase of this property. 23 <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman reported the EDA would use proceeds from the sale of the 24 <br />Skyline property to purchase this parcel. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Commissioner Gunn commented on how the City would have more control over the future 27 <br />development of this property, if under City ownership. Assistant City Administrator Beeman 28 <br />stated this was the case. Executive Director Zikmund explained both of these properties came to 29 <br />the EDA with offers at or near the County assessed value. 30 <br /> 31 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn.
