Mounds View City Council January 8, 2024 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br />2 Mayor Lindstrom stated he would be interested in serving on the options committee. <br />3 <br />4 Council Member Meehlhause indicated he would be willing to serve as well. <br />5 <br />6 City Attorney Riggs reported three citizens could be appointed to the committee as well. <br />7 <br />8 Mayor Lindstrom explained Blake Downs has expressed interest in serving on the committee. <br />9 <br />10 Council Member Meehlhause suggested Commission members Gerald Arel and Gary Stevenson <br />11 be considered for the committee as well. <br />12 <br />13 Mayor Lindstrom supported appointing Julie Clark to the committee as well. <br />14 <br />15 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9859, <br />16 establishing an Organized Collection Options Committee in the City of Mounds View as <br />17 discussed. <br />18 <br />19 Ayes — 4 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />20 <br />21 D. Resolution 9860, Approving Change Order for Installing Electric filters on the <br />22 ABB VFDs part of the Main Water Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Project. <br />23 <br />24 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve a change <br />25 order installing electric filters on the ABB VFDs part of the main water treatment plant <br />26 rehabilitation project. He commented on the work that has been done at the main water treatment <br />27 plant and explained the proposed change order would install electric filters on the ABB VFD's. <br />28 <br />29 Council Member Meehlhause asked if the City would install VFD's on all wells or just this one. <br />30 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson explained staff was looking into this, but for <br />31 now staff was recommending this action be taken for the main water treatment plant. <br />32 <br />33 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Cermak. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9860, <br />34 Approving Change Order for Installing Electric filters on the ABB VFDs part of the Main Water <br />35 Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Project. <br />36 <br />37 Ayes — 4 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />38 <br />39 City Attorney Riggs requested the Council recess the current meeting to closed session. He advised <br />40 the City Council would be returning to an open session to finish Item 8E and the remainder of the <br />41 agenda. <br />42 <br />43 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Recess the City Council meeting to a Closed Session <br />44 meeting at 6:55 p.m. <br />45 <br />46 Ayes — 4 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />
