Exhibit E <br />MOUNDS VIEW <br />JOB DESCRIPTION <br />Job Title: <br />Grade: <br />Supervisor Title: <br />Department: <br />FLSA Status: <br />Date Reviewed: <br />Assistant Counselor <br />Seasonal <br />Parks and Recreation Superintendent <br />Parks and Recreation <br />Non-Exempt/Seasonal <br />2/7/2024 <br />Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience: <br />➢ Be at least 15 years of age. <br />➢ Have the desire to work with the public. <br />➢ Be available to work a part- time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. <br />Nature of Work: <br />This position is responsible to facilitate, lead, and assist Lead Counselors in supervising program participants in <br />games, arts and crafts, and other planned activities at the Explore More Summer Camp program. <br />Communicates with: <br />Internally —Parks and Recreation staff. <br />Externally —General public. <br />Supervision: <br />None <br />Essential Work Functions: <br />Responsible for the supervision of a designated camp group lead by a Lead Counselor. <br />• Implements age -appropriate activities for youth and program curriculum as directed by program Coordinator. <br />• Provides a safe environment with clear rules and expectations for participants. <br />• Provides guidance and role modeling for youth participants and Leaders in Training <br />• Assists Lead Counselor in manages daily roster of group participants and assists coordinators with the drop-off and <br />pick-up process <br />• Communicates with parents and guardians as necessary <br />• Assists program coordinators and Lead Counselors in the development and implementation of participant behavior <br />plans when necessary <br />• Assists in management of assigned group room, equipment, and materials and supervise cleaning schedule, <br />maintenance needs, and daily upkeep of said resources. <br />• Organizes and/ or participates in activities and special events for youth. <br />• Inspect program area daily for any safety precautions prior to youth arriving on site. <br />• Maintains equipment or supplies used for activities. <br />• Reports any lost or damaged equipment to supervisor. <br />Other Work Functions (Illustrative Only): <br />0 Performs related work as required. <br />
