January 26, 2024
Don Peterson
Reference: Water Quality Assessment of Silver View Pond, Mounds View, MN
Total cost of the bioretention features is estimated at $165,000. Each will capture runoff from CR H2 and
provide filtration/infiltration prior to discharge into the pond. The features will make use of existing
depressions and draintile lines from the 2002 CR H2 project. It appears that the existing drainage system
has been largely filled with sediment and buried over time. The existing piping will be cleaned out and
reused if possible; otherwise, they will be replaced. Standpipes with inlet grates will be moved and raised as
needed to create appropriate wet ponding depth. The depression bottoms will be replaced with engineered
sand/compost subgrades, and draintiles will be provided.
Figure 10.
