RESOLUTION NO. 9897 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE 2024 TWIN CITIES GATEWAY MEMBER CITY <br />MARKETING GRANT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds of View is a member of the local Convention and Tourism <br />Bureau, Twin Cities Gateway; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has enacted a tax on lodging within the City to help <br />fund Twin Cities Gateway, along with nine other member cities, in accordance with Minnesota <br />Statutes Section 469.190; and <br />WHEREAS, Twin Cities Gateway Member City Marketing Grant program provides each <br />member city with an annual grant based on the percentage of lodging taxes collected from the <br />prior year; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the executed "Mounds View 2024 Member City Grant Agreement" <br />between Twin Cities Gateway and the City of Mounds View, the City will receive $10,620.00 in <br />grant funding in 2024; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is responsible to disperse the grant funds to the <br />community festival(s) and/or events that the City wants to support; and <br />WHEREAS, the grant funds shall be used for marketing and promotional efforts that <br />extend beyond the City's borders in order to draw tourists to the community, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does hereby <br />accept the 2024 Twin Cities Gateway Member City Marketing Grant in the amount of $10,620.00, <br />for the marketing and promotion of the Mounds View Festival in the Park Celebration and the <br />Mounds View Community Center. <br />Adopted April 8, 2024. <br />ch Lindstrom, Mayor <br />ATTEST": A /� 7, 1, //� <br />Nyl Zik nd, City Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />`The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thrivinaa Desirable Communit v <br />
