RESOLUTION 9899 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING VARIOUS SANITARY SEWER MANHOLE REPAIRS <br />WHEREAS, During regular cleaning and inspection of the sanitary sewer system, <br />Staff discovered several manholes that require repairs due to cracking which is allowing <br />infiltration/ground water to enter the system; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff determined that the best method for the necessary repairs is to <br />grout seal and line the manholes; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff contacted two contractors to provide a quote to facilitate the <br />repairs: <br />o Thul Specialty Contracting Inc.(6 manholes) $29,700.00 <br />o Innovating High Performance Costings (6 manholes) $44,000.00 <br />WHEREAS, the funding for these repairs is budgeted in the Sanitary Sewer fund, <br />730-4823-7050, which includes $30,000.00 for the sewer manhole lining. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The City hereby approves the quote from Thul Specialty Coatings of Elk River <br />MN, for $29,700.00 for repairs to several City sanitary sewer manholes. <br />2. Funding will be from the Sanitary Sewer Budget, 730-4823-7050. <br />3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by <br />this resolution. <br />4.
