RESOLUTION NO. 9893 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CHICKEN -KEEPING LICENSE FOR <br />MEGAN OSWALD SCHWERR, 5381 JACKSON DRIVE <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Code, Chapter 90.005, allows limited and <br />controlled raising and keeping of chickens and/or ducks on properties zoned R-1, Single <br />Family Residential; and <br />WHEREAS, Megan Oswald Schwerr has submitted an application, with an <br />approved site plan, and the appropriate fees to keep and raise chickens on her property <br />located at 5381 Jackson Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the application and it appears to meet all <br />requirements set forth in Chapter 90.005; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 90.005, initial applications shall be <br />considered by the City Council after holding a public hearing, which was held March 25, <br />2024. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby approve a Chicken -Keeping License for Megan Oswald Schwerr, 5381 Jackson <br />Drive, for no more than 12 chickens or 12 ducks or a combination of both; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the license may be revoked or denied by the <br />City Council based on negligence, nuisance, or violation Chapter 90.005. <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the license will expire December 31, 2024, and <br />shall be renewed annually. <br />Adopted this 25t" day of March, 2024. <br />Za <br />.ATTEST: <br />Lindstrom, Mayor <br />Ye mund, City Administrator <br />(Seal) <br />The MIwIEu" <br />1 <br />
