RESOLUTION 9912 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 9912, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN F350 SERVICE <br />PICKUP TRUCK WITH DUMP BODY <br />WHEREAS, the City has pickup trucks that are utilized for the Public Works Department <br />to perform necessary maintenance; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council understands the need for Public Works to properly operate <br />various tasks such as Parks maintenance, water main breaks, storm debris pick up, and <br />inspections in a timely manner; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has been utilizing a 2005 Ford F250 4x4 for Parks Maintenance; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Saxon Fleet Services of Oakdale, MN for a F350 <br />Regular cab and chassis with options at cost of $54,023.35; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from North Central Truck and Van Equipment of <br />Mounds View, MN for the purchase of a 9' Rugby Steel Dump body 60" CA, under cab storage <br />and Tommy Gate Lift -N -Dump for a cost of $23,268.94; and <br />WHEREAS, the vehicle will require seat covers, City 2-way radio, body strobes, and City <br />graphics for a cost of $1,687.50; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Crysteel Truck and Equipment of Fridley, MN for <br />the installation of a used plow from unit #308 for the cost of $3,690.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the replacement of this vehicle is in the 2024 Budget, Vehicles and <br />Equipment Parks Budget fund, 460-4360-7030. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The City Council hereby accepts the quote of $54,023.35, submitted by Saxon Fleet <br />Services of Oakdale, MN includes sales tax, registration and license fees. <br />2. The City Council accepts the quote $23,268.94 submitted by North Central Truck & <br />Van Equipment of Mounds View, MN, this does not include tax. <br />3. The City Council accepts the quote $3,690.00 submitted by Crysteel Truck and <br />Equipment of Fridley, MN for the installation of plow components and new wing <br />extensions from the 2005 F250 unit #308 to new F-350. <br />4. The City authorizes the purchase of $1,687.50 for seat covers, body strobes, City <br />graphics and 2-way radio. <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
