Item No: 5E <br />2024 <br />MO[1NDS VVt <br />—E TMeeting Date: April A enda��/ Type of Business: Consent Agenda <br />Administrator review: <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Rayla Sue Ewald, Human Resource Director <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9907 Authorizing a Recruitment Process for the Position <br />of Public Works Maintenance Worker — Parks Division <br />Introduction: <br />A Public Works Maintenance Worker in the Parks Division is vacant due to a recent promotional <br />process. <br />Discussion: <br />Staff is requesting to start the recruitment process for the vacant Public Works position. The <br />current Labor Agreement between the City of Mounds View and the Public Works Collective <br />Bargaining Unit requires job vacancies be posted internally for five (5) working days so that <br />interested employees be considered for such vacancies before the position is advertised to the <br />general public. Only after the vacancy has been posted for five (5) working days with no response <br />received from an employee will the City proceed to posting the vacancy externally.
