Item No: 8D <br />MOUNDS VIEW <br />City of Mounds View Staff R <br />Meeting Date: 05/13/2024 <br />Type of Business: Council Business <br />Administrator Review: <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Ben Zender, Chief of Police <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9916 Approving the Purchase of One Ford Police <br />Utility Vehicle Along with Additional Equipment and Setup <br />Costs. <br />Introduction: <br />The police department is scheduled to replace one police SUV patrol vehicle in 2025. <br />Discussion: <br />The department is requesting to purchase one 2025 Ford Police Utility vehicle to <br />replace older vehicles as scheduled. <br />The Ford Police Utility vehicle is offered at $44,926.44 each, at state bid. The total for <br />set up cost and additional equipment for this vehicle will be approximately $ 27,449.00 <br />(460-4200-7040). One radar unit ($3,350.00/approx.) will be purchased out of forfeiture <br />funds (225-4200-1230). <br />The total purchasing cost, setup, and equipment for the squad will be approximately <br />$72,375.44 (460-4200-7040.).
