RESOLUTION 9928 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPOINTING THE PARK MASTER PLAN STEERING COMMITTEE (PMPSC) MEMBERS WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has many responsibilities to include efficiently operating and managing the entire Park system; and WHEREAS, Council passed Resolution 9891 on March 11, 2024 approving the proposal from WSB for a Park System Master Plan to include the establishment of a steering committee; and WHEREAS, the steering committee would be comprised of 7-10 members from the following backgrounds: Park and Recreation and Forestry Commission Liaison 2 each Athletic Association(s) 1-2 each Citizens 5-6 each City Council Liaison 1 each City Staff 1 each WHEREAS, Staff reached out to the Irondale Baseball League (IBL) and to Mounds View Lacrosse (MVI). IBL is recommending Josh Deer, the Vice President for IBL and MVI is recommending Matt Moldan; and WHEREAS, the May 23, 2024, Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission, discussed the Steering Committee and are recommending the following to members for the Steering Committee; and WHEREAS, Staff has received 9 (nine) applications from citizens who have an interest in participating on the committee and is recommending five (5) persons for the PMPSC. WHEREAS, Staff recommends appointing the persons listed from IBL, MVI and the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission and Citizens to the Parks Master Plan Steering Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. Approves the following individuals to the Steering Committee for the Parks Master Plan o Josh Deer from the Irondale Baseball League (IBL) o Matt Moldan of (MVI) o Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission o Parks and Recreations and Forestry Commission 0 0 0 0 0 o Julie Clark — City Council Liaison
