MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br /> 1111 PARK REFERENDUM TASK FORCE COMMITTEE <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> Mounds view City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> May 28 , 1981 <br /> 6 : 00 p.m. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT Bob Stone Jerry Blanchard <br /> David Long <br /> Ed Letendre <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT Gordy Ziebarth Chris Knutson <br /> Jan Quick Jim Rosemeyer <br /> Sharon McCarthy <br /> STAFF PRESENT Bruce K. Anderson, Director <br /> Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br /> 1111 PRE - MEETING Staff reviewed the task forces progress to <br /> date and outlined the goals and objectives <br /> which were outlined by the City Council. <br /> A number of questions were raised regarding <br /> the survey process which was completed by th <br /> Park Commission in February, 1980 . Staff <br /> reviewed the process and indicated that the <br /> priorties appeared to oriented towards adults <br /> or family activities as the following items <br /> were listed as the highest priority: <br /> 1. Bicycle Trails 52 . 9% <br /> 2 . Tennis Courts 50. 1% <br /> 3 . Picnic Areas 49 . 7% <br /> 4 . Hiking and Walking <br /> Trails 49 . 3% <br /> 5 . Marked Nature <br /> Trails 43. 8% <br /> Task force member Letendre than stated that <br /> he had heard the reaction that we needed more <br /> recreation faucilities for the younger gener- <br /> ation. <br /> 111 We then closed the introductory phase of the <br /> meeting and opened up the general meeting. <br />
