The VITA trail at City Hall was eliminat- <br /> ed at a cost of $10 , 000. <br /> F. The two multi-purpose courts at Lambert <br /> and Woodcrest Parks were eliminated at a <br /> savings of $40 , 000 . <br /> G . The archery range was eliminated at a <br /> cost of $8 , 000. <br /> H. The cost for the building structure was <br /> also reduced to $650 , 000 or a reduction <br /> of $100, 000. <br /> Total proposed reductions are $308 , 500. <br /> Staff indicated that they would provide a <br /> formal list of items to be considered for <br /> referendum at the December 12 Commission <br />• <br /> meeting. <br /> PERMANENT PARK <br /> MAINTENANCE LEVY Staff proposed that a permanent one mill levy <br /> be dedicated for park maintenance to operate <br /> and maintain existing park lands and related <br /> 1111 public recreational facilities including the <br /> proposed improvements . Staff indicated that <br /> this would raise an additional $56 , 000 and <br /> • double our existing manpower which consists <br /> of two full-time individuals . <br /> It was the concensus of the group that this <br /> also made logical sense and should be <br /> "wrapped" into the entire park question if <br /> possible . <br /> GENERAL DISCUSSION It was the general concensus of the group <br /> that the referendum should not exceed $1 . 25 <br /> million and that a target date of January 21 , <br /> 1986 should be agreed upon for the proposed <br /> park referendum should the City Council con- <br /> cur with the task force position . <br /> NEXT MEETING DATE It was agreed that one additional meeting <br /> would be scheduled for Thursday, December 12 , <br /> 1985 at which time we would review the final <br /> figures as well as discuss any updated items <br /> regarding the recreation activity facility. <br /> ADJOURNMENT • 1 The meeting was adjourned at 10 : 20 p. m. <br /> •eIpPtful1Psubmlt!ted , <br /> f. <br /> --4.
