MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA February 26, 1987 6:30 P.M. MOUNDS VIEW CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by Chairperson Wayne Burmeister. ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Commissioners Silvis, Long, Daniels, Anderson, Starr, Rowley and Chairperson Burmeister. Councilmembers present: Councilmember Wuori Staff present: Director Saarion and Administrative Assistant Linke. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis, "seconded by Commissioner Long to approve the minutes as written. Motion passed unanimously 7 ayes, 0 nayes. CHAIPERSON'S REPORT No report 41)UNC1LMEMBER'S REPORT Councilmember Wuori reported that the park dedication fee from the Red Oak Sub-division would be approximately $1,500. WELCOME NEW MEMBERS Chairperson Burmeister welcomed the new Commission Members. LAKESIDE PARK FUNDING REPORT Staff informed the Commission that the Spring Lake Park City Council had passed the $1,200 requested for capital improvements at Lakeside Beach for the 1987 swimming season. The Spring Lake Park City Council preferred to reassess the need for the capital improvements monies on a yearly basis rather than make it a permanent part of the Lakeside budget. Staff added that the Mounds View City Council would be considering the request for funds at their March 2, 1987 meeting. SILVER VIEW PARR CITIZENS CONCERNS Mary Mitchell, a resident from the Mary Anderson development abutting Silver View Park was present at the Commission meeting representing the neighbors of her area. She had several concerns regarding a landscaping plan around the pond area and the proposed maintenance of the area as well.
