COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> June 25 , 1987 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6 : 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7: 00 p.m. <br /> following a tour of Oakwood Park, by <br /> Chairperson Wayne Burmeister. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Commissioners <br /> Silvis, Rowley, Long, Anderson and <br /> Chairperson Burmeister. <br /> Commissioners absent: Commissioners Starr <br /> and Daniels. <br /> Councilmembers present: Councilmember <br /> Wuori . <br /> Staff present: Director Saarion and <br /> Administrative Asst. Linke . <br /> Vistors present : Carol Golden, Randy Miller <br /> • and, Rebecca and Mike Delmore <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis, <br /> seconded by Commissioner Long to approve the <br /> May 28 , 1987 minutes as written. Motion <br /> passed unanimously 5 ayes 0 nayes. <br /> CHAIRPERSON' S REPORT Chairperson Burmeister asked staff about the <br /> status of the irrigation system at Silver <br /> View. Director Saarion stated that the <br /> system was not operational and that it would <br /> most likely have to be replaced with a more <br /> substantial unit that would include the berms <br /> and ballfields. <br /> Commissioner Long inquired on the frequency <br /> of grading the ballfields. Staff explained <br /> that the fields are regraded about every <br /> five years . Commissioner Long suggested <br /> that city maintenance look into ways to im- <br /> prove grading of ballfields. <br /> COUNCILMEMBER'S REPORT Councilmember Wuori requested input from the <br /> Commission on the placement of the portable <br /> building at the July 6 agenda session. The <br /> • Commission asked what the possibility would <br /> be of getting dirt to use as fill in Random <br /> Park parking lot from the new Kraus- <br /> Anderson shopping center. Staff stated that <br /> she would check into it. <br />
