-3- OLD BUSINESS (CONT D) Groveland Park : The tennis courts are • nearing completion. The seeding and landscaping will be done by City personnel. Community Theater: The production cast and crew is currently working on sets and beginning rehearsals. SILVER VIEW PARK TRAIL , Residents from the Silver View Park area stated their concern about the proposed trail behind their homes on the southside of the pond in Silver View Park. Carol Golden, 7417 Parkview Drive stated that at the time of purchase of the property she was told that there would not be a trail in back of her home . She also stated that they paid an $8 ,000 premium for the privilege of building on the lakefront. She presented letters to the Commission from the Mary Anderson Construction Company stating that they were under the assumption that a trail would not be built behind those homes. Commissioner Long asked Mrs. Golden if there • was any statements on her deed regarding the trail. She said no, but she did have proof of the $8 ,000 premium for lakeshore property. Mrs. Golden requested that the Commission visit the site to get a better perspective on the issue. The Commissioners stated that they were very familiar with the area having walked the trails often. The residents inquired about the bridge that was originally proposed in the conceptual plan. Staff stated money was not available to construct a bridge. Randy Miller, 7409 Parkview felt that a sturdy wooden bridge could be built for considerably less that the $18 ,000 quoted to staff earlier.
