Clean-up after your pets. <br /> e. Motorized vehicles prohibited. <br /> f. No golfing, snowmobiling. <br /> g. Glass containers and alcoholic beverages are <br /> prohibited. <br /> h. No harrassing wildlife <br /> A discussion continued regarding education of the <br /> public in the use of parks. Each year, the Director <br /> of Parks and Recreation is invited t speak to <br /> Irondale High School ninth graders regarding <br /> vandalism. Commissioners suggested that articles on <br /> use of parks be placed in the city brochure on a <br /> regular basis and that the city work with the local <br /> schools to promote responsible park usage. <br /> OCTOBER MEETING The Commission requested staff to present information <br /> and costs for the following items at the October, <br /> 1988 meeting: <br /> 1. Gates - different types. <br /> 2. Signs - slides of different park signs in other <br /> communities. <br /> • At the October meeting the Parks and Recreation <br /> Commission will discuss an overall security lighting <br /> plan and handicapped acceibility and usability. <br /> MVCT UPDATE Commissioner Silvis reported that Janet Paone had <br /> resigned as director of the Mounds View Community <br /> Theater. Irondale Principal Groth offered to provide <br /> storage for the MVCT materials if they were donated <br /> to Irondale. This proposal needs to be submitted to <br /> the City Council before any action can be taken. <br /> LAKESIDE PARK <br /> REDEVELOPMENT The Lakeside Park Redevelopment Committee toured a <br /> beach house facility at French Hennepin County <br /> Regional Park and like the design. The tot lot has <br /> been ordered and will be installed this fall. <br /> SILVER VIEW PARK <br /> UPDATE The City Council is interested in pursuing the water <br /> management study at Silver View Park pond and has <br /> requested Director Saarion to search for funding <br /> sources. <br />
