- r <br /> -3- <br /> POLICY FOR USE OF <br /> OUTDOOR PARK <br /> FACILITIES A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis , <br /> • seconded by Commissioner Long to recommend <br /> the adoption of the "Policy for Use of <br /> Outdoor Park Facilities" as written and that <br /> it be forwarded to the City Council for <br /> formal approval . Motion passed unanimously <br /> 5 ayes, 0 nayes . <br /> SILVER VIEW PARKING <br /> LOT PLANS Director Saarion reviewed the plans for the <br /> parking lot at Silver View Park. She stated <br /> that she had met with the engineer and that <br /> he found no problem with water drainage . He <br /> estimated the cost for installation of <br /> concrete curb and gutter to be approximately <br /> $32, 000 . This would include curb and gutter <br /> up to the road and the center island . The <br /> Commission directed staff to get an estimate <br /> on completing the parking lot . <br /> Staff also stated that she would like to <br /> have the sewer and water installed at the <br /> same time as the parking lot but a special <br /> request for funds would have to be made to <br /> the City Council . <br /> The Commission agreed that this would be the <br /> • most effective way to proceed if funds were <br /> available . <br /> PLAY EQUIPMENT Director Saarion distributed pamphlets from <br /> Game Time, Inc . for play equipment which is <br /> on sale . Since this item is budgeted for <br /> 1988 , staff suggested that the Commission <br /> select from the sale items . A motion was <br /> made by Chairperson Burmeister, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Silvis to purchase the play <br /> structure as displayed in the pamphlet from <br /> Game Time , Inc . The motion passed 5 ayes, <br /> 0 nayes . Color choice was green. <br /> STAFF REPORT Director Saarion reported that a vandal was <br /> apprehended at Silver View Park and forced <br /> to pay restitution for damages . She also <br /> reported that the winter skating season had <br /> gone well . <br />
