NYSCA TAPE REVIEW AND RESOLUTION Athletic Coordinator Johnson stated that the NYSCA tape will be shown at the next Commission meeting when all of the members are present. He added that the City Council had adopted Resolution 2596 Implementing the National Standards for Youth Sports by the City of Mounds View. GIFTS CATALOGUE Staff asked the Commission to review the samples of gifts catalogues included in their packet and to make comments or suggestions for a gifts catalogue for the City of Mounds View. Commissioner Starr requested that the catalogue be concrete in nature, not conceptual, giving specific items with descriptions. Commissioner Trettel suggested that both a service oriented category and an open ended amount category be included. The Commissioners agreed that items ranging from trash containers, bike rakes, picnic tables and swing seats to picnic shelters, ballfield lighting, fencing and score boards should be included. WOODCREST PARK BOUNDARIES A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis, seconded by Commissioner Starr to direct staff to prepare a draft gifts catalogue of approximately 25 items to include one open ended amount item and one service related item, to be presented to the Commission at the March 22 meeting. Motion passed: 4 ayes, 0 nayes. Chairperson Burmeister reviewed the memorandum regarding the concerns of Mr. Downing regarding the infringement by park users on his property. Because the property line is currently unmarked, staff recommended that bushes be planted along the property line to designate the boundary and to also hinder peoples passage onto Mr. Downing's property. A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis, seconded by Commissioner Starr to direct Forester Wriskey to plant shrubs along the property line between Woodcrest Park and the Downing property to define the boundary.
