The Commission thought that <br /> it would be advisable to rid of the hill since it <br /> does not have a useful purpose and is a <br /> maintenance headache. Chairperson Burmeister made <br /> a motion, seconded by Commissioner Silvis to rid <br /> of the "hill" at Random Park. Motion passed, 7 <br /> ayes, 0 nayes. <br /> ARDAN PARK: The Commission discussed the situation at Ardan <br /> Park regarding the dumping of brush and other <br /> materials. The Commission was strongly in favor <br /> of having the City fine those people who dump <br /> whenever they can be caught. Director Saarion <br /> reminded the Commission that the Master Plan for <br /> Ardan Park includes a passive area park of <br /> picnicking areas, trailways, benches, swing <br /> benches and small playground for tots. Director <br /> Saarion expressed her concern that Ardan Park is <br /> becoming a dumping site which is a different use <br /> of the park as a passive park site. <br /> FALL PROGRAMS: Director Saarion reported that the Fall brochure <br /> is in the process of being prepared and that Fall <br /> registrations will begin the first of September. <br /> III <br /> MVCT TICKETS: Director Saarion reported that the MVCT production <br /> of "CAMELOT" tickets were available for sale. <br /> Opening night is July 24 , 1992 . <br /> GOLF COURSE <br /> TASK FORCE: The Commission was asked to offer a representative <br /> to be on the Golf Course Task Force. Gary <br /> Stevenson will be representing the Parks and <br /> Recreation Commission and Scott Dentz will be the <br /> alternate. <br /> ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Silvis made a motion, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Long to adjourn the meeting.
