MOUNDS VIEW PARAS AND RECREATION CCM -MISSION <br />MEZ19TING Ml!"MTE'S <br />DECEMBER Z 1993 <br />CALL TO <br />ORDER: Chair Burmeister call the meeting to order. <br />ROLL CALL: Commissioners present included Chairperson <br />Burmeister and Commissioners Starr, Silvis, <br />Stevenson, Long and Dentz. Commissioner Trettel <br />was absent. Director Saarion was also present. <br />MINUTES: The minutes of the October 28, 1993 meeting were <br />approved. 6 ayes, 0 nayes. <br />MARKETING <br />CONTRACT <br />APPROVAL: The Commission reviewed the contract agreement for <br />the market information for the adventure golf <br />course and approved it for execution. <br />REVIEW OF <br />MOWING LETTER: The Commission reviewed the letter which was <br />requested by the Commissioners to be sent to the <br />Silver Lake Woods,Homeowners Association. The <br />Commissioners signed the letter, to be forwarded <br />to the Association. <br />GOLF.COURSE <br />LAND DEV. Director Saarion informed the Commission that the <br />park land adjacent to the Golf Course will need to <br />be planned for hiking with possibly observation <br />areas, benches, picnic tables, archery range or <br />other amenities for the enjoyment of the <br />community. As the golf course is developed, <br />opportunities to advance the park will need to be <br />implemented. Grants or other possibilities for <br />funding will also be looked into. This will be a <br />project for 1994. <br />OTHER PARK <br />DEVELOPME`iT- <br />ARDEN PARK: Director Saarion also informed that Commission <br />that their concern about the compost pile location <br />at Arden Park is being discussed at the December 6 <br />Council Work Session. Discussion about possibly <br />moving the compost site to the golf course area or <br />some other site will be discussed with County <br />Commissioner Wedell. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis and <br />
