W <br />MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br />MOUNDS VIEW PARRS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />October 27, 1994 <br />6:30 p.m. <br />City Hall <br />CALL TO <br />ORDER: Chairperson Burmeister called the meeting to order <br />after the tour of the golf course facility. <br />ROLL CALL: All members were present including Chair <br />Burmeister, Commissioners Dentz, Trettel, Starr, <br />Long, Silvis, and Stevenson. Also present was <br />Council Liaison Trude, Student Intern Dana Willis, <br />Director Saarion and resident, staff member and <br />volunteer Janet Bona. <br />APPROVAL OF <br />MINUTES: Commissioner Silvis made a motion seconded by <br />Commissioner Starr to approve the minutes of <br />August 25, 1994. Motion passed unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE <br />REVIEW: The Commission carefully went through the each and <br />every ordinance, had discussion and made changes <br />along the way. Commissioner Starr made a motion <br />to approve the ordinance with the changes and <br />recommend to the City Council review and approval. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Dentz. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />DEPT UPDATES: Director Saarion reviewed actions which the City <br />Council has made to benefit the community <br />including opening Woodcrest Park rink this winter, <br />approval for an assessment to Silver View Park <br />storm water ditch opportunities for improvements, <br />approved an appraisal of Newton property land <br />which is adjacent to Groveland Park and approved <br />further improvements to Hillview and Groveland <br />Park buildings. <br />"4142H. <br />BUSINESS: Councilmember Trude reported that homeowners <br />(except one homeowner living on Silver View Park) <br />are not interested in netting for the ballfields. <br />This seems to be a one residents' issue. <br />NEXT MTG.: Next meeting will be held Thursday, December 1 at <br />6:30 p.m. Because our November/December regular <br />meetings land on the holidays it is a custom that <br />we combine the two into one mtg. <br />ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Long moved to adjourn the mtg. <br />
