• MOUNDS VIEW PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> January 19, 1995 <br /> City Hall <br /> 6: 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO <br /> ORDER: Chairperson Burmeister called the meeting to order <br /> at 6: 30 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL: Commissioners present included Burmeister, Silvis, <br /> Stevenson, Trettel, Dentz and Long. Commissioner <br /> absent, Starr. Director Saarion was also present. <br /> APPROVAL <br /> OF MINUTES: Commissioner Silvis made a motion seconded by <br /> Commissioner Stevenson to approve the minutes of <br /> December 1, 1994 . Minutes were approved <br /> unanimously. <br /> FINALIZE <br /> • 1995 GOALS: Commissioner Silvis made a motion seconded by <br /> Commissioner Long to approve the Parks and <br /> Recreation Commission' s Goals for 1995. They are <br /> ready to be presented to the City Council for <br /> review. <br /> ANNUAL <br /> REPORT: Each Commissioner was presented with the 1994 <br /> Annual Report. This Annual Report is provided for <br /> record keeping, information and reference. It is <br /> a comprehensive book documenting 1994 activities, <br /> goals, activities, staff persons, statistics, etc. <br /> Commissioners expressed their appreciation for the <br /> report and complimented staff on the quality of <br /> the Annual Report. <br /> WOODCREST <br /> PARK: Staff requested direction from the Commission <br /> regarding Woodcrest Park plans. First discussion <br /> led toward the idea of inviting residents of the <br /> area to meet with the Commission for input. <br /> However, after further discussion it was agreed <br /> that perhaps staff should first obtain <br /> geotechnical data and information, evaluation and <br /> recommendation regarding the soil conditions at <br /> • Woodcrest Park to determine what is feasible and <br /> what is not possible regarding park improvements. <br /> The Commission directed staff to pursue soil <br /> borings and analysis for information and <br />
