• MOUNDS VIEW PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> MINUTES <br /> Thursday, February 22, 1996 <br /> 6:30 p.m. Conference Room C <br /> CALL TO <br /> ORDER: Chairperson Burmeister called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL: Members present included Chair Burmeister, Commissioners Stevenson, <br /> Silvis, Starr , Dentz and Long. Councilmember Trude and Director <br /> Saarion were present. Visitors included Commission Candidate Sherry <br /> Gunn. <br /> APPROVAL <br /> • OF MINUTES: Commissioner Silvis made a motion seconded by Commissioner Stevenson <br /> to approve the minutes. Minutes were approved unanimously. <br /> LTR REVIEW <br /> WOODCREST <br /> PARK: Director Saarion requested the Commission to review the letter which will <br /> be sent to neighbors of Woodcrest Park, requesting their input regarding <br /> the future improvements to Woodcrest Park. Commissioners approved the <br /> letter and Chairperson Burmeister signed the original. Motion was made <br /> by Commissioner Silvis to send the letter, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Dentz. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> ARD AN PARK <br /> UPDATE: Director Saarion informed the Commission that Zack Hanson had reported <br /> that the Ramsey County Commission on Health and Waste and had <br /> reviewed the compost site improvement plan and the next step was to <br /> present the plan to the Ramsey County Commissioners for final approval. <br /> He thought that the plan would be well received. The only change has <br /> been the elimination of the lighting. <br /> BRIDGE UPDATE: Councilmember Trude reported that the Citizen Task Force had met and <br /> had discussed several considerations regarding foot and bike traffic <br /> • patterns and destinations of bridge users. The discussion resulted in a site <br /> location and design pattern that would provide access to many different <br />
