Park and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes <br />March 18, 2004 <br />Meeting Called to order: <br />1. Roll Call: <br />Present: Kroeger, Kunz, Long, Silvis, Kunza, Edmond, Steeves, McIntyre, <br />Dazenski, Lee <br />Absent: <br />2. Approval of December 18, 2003 Meeting Minutes: <br />Acknowledge there are no minutes from the February 26, 2004 meeting. <br />The video tape for this meeting was not available for review / minute taking <br />3. Unfinished Business: <br />a) Facility Guide Update- Staff is working with the YMCA for making <br />revision to the draft. Additional pictures are still needed. The draft should <br />be ready to present back to the Commissioners at the April meeting. <br />• Little discussion, waiting for the guide to review. <br />b) Park Usage Survey / Data Collection — A request for volunteers to assist <br />the city in collecting information and filling out the Park Usage <br />Observation Sheet was placed in the March / April addition of the Mounds <br />View Matters. The observation sheet along with a guidance information <br />printed on the back are available at City Hall and on the City's WEB site. <br />At of this date no requests for the sheets have been made. <br />• Nothing new to report <br />c) Community Survey —Shari Kunza has developed a draft questioner to be <br />included in the May/June addition of the Mounds View Matters. <br />• Kunza will make a couple minor revisions and send it to Lee. Lee will <br />have it published in the May / June edition of the Mounds View <br />Matters. <br />d) Garbage Hauler Donation Fund —All residential haulers in Mounds View <br />were contacted. The City has received a total of four responses at this time <br />— three in favor of the program, one opposed. Attached is summary of the <br />responses. <br />• Letter was sent out to four residential haulers <br />• 3 were in favor of donation program, one was not <br />• Include program in "New Resident Package" only <br />• No further action needed <br />• Check with the Finance Department later this year to review this <br />program <br />
