These seasonal workers can help collect the park <br />usage data. <br />c) Community Survey — Shari Kunza developed a questioner, which was <br />included in the May/June addition of the Mounds View Matters. <br />d) YMCA Committee Update — <br />• This was a short meeting between the YMCA, City, and Mermaid <br />representatives. <br />• Discussed rental fees — are they in line with other communities? <br />• Discussed school coordination fees. <br />• Do not discuss contract provisions. These will be discussed at the <br />next meeting. <br />e) Groveland Park Building Replacement. —This issue has been placed on <br />the May 3, 2004 City Council Work Session Agenda. <br />I) Lakeside Lions Park Parking Lot — This was included in the 2003 Street <br />Improvement Project as a bid alternate. Bids were received for this <br />project. The low bid was $99,965.25. The engineers estimate was <br />$104,750. Should the City Councils of Mound View and Spring Lake <br />Park wish to proceed with the parking lot project, they will need to award <br />it to the contractor. <br />6. New Business: <br />a) One application for the vacant seat was received, The deadline to apply was <br />4:30pm April 19, 2004. The Commissioners made a motion to recommend <br />approval of Dale Aukee as a Park and Recreation Commissioner. <br />Commissioner/Staff Reports <br />a) Lakeside Lions Park Fishing Pier Update — Staff will present Resolution No. <br />6233 to authorize the submittal of a letter stating that we are in favor of <br />adding the fishing pier at Lakeside Lions Park and that this amenity will be <br />owned and operated per the Lakeside Lions Park Joint Ownership Agreement <br />between the cities of Mounds View and Spring Lake Park Resolution No. <br />6233 also authorizes the expenditure of Park Dedication Funds in the amount <br />of $900.00 to assist in the financing of the pier. <br />b) Reminder to fill out the park survey sheet. <br />c) Mounds View School District voted to install artificial turf. Make it know that <br />this field is available. This is expected to be dy in time for football season. <br />8.
