Unfinished Business:

Greenfield Park Play Equipment -
THE FOLLOWING WAS READ
On December 16, 2004 the Parks and Recreation Commission approved adding the climbing wall to the project. The Commission also approved color scheme. Based on these approvals, Staff
placed the order with the contractor, Minnesota/Wisconsin Playground. It is anticipated that the playground equipment will be delivered and installed in May of 2005.
Staff checked with the City’s insurance company and determined that the addition of a climbing wall does not increase the City’s liability or insurance premiums.
Staff also checked into what standards the specifications of the playground equipment would meet. Staff has received a Certificate from the International Play Equipment Manufactures
Association stating that the Greenfield Park Play Ground Equipment conforms to Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Use. This will
be included in next month’s Parks Commission Packet.

Groveland Park Building Replacement. –
THE FOLLOWING WAS READ
TKDA continues to work on the preparation of the site plans, construction plans, specifications, and any other planning phase aspects of this project. Staff has requested that TKDA provide
an approximate time estimate when draft plans could be available for the Commissioner’s review.
Parks Supervisor, Steve Dazenski, reported that TKDA has informed him that they are near completion of the draft plans for the building. The draft plans will be presented to the Commission
for review and comment as soon as they are available.
