<br />Park and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes <br />July 28, 2005 <br /> <br />Meeting Called to order: <br /> <br />1. Roll Call: <br />Present: Kroeger, Kunz, Palm, Silvis, Long, Aukee <br />Absent: Kunza, <br />Staff Present: Lee, Dazenski, McIntyre, Weldon <br /> <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from the June 23, 2005 meeting – Minutes were not <br />available <br /> <br /> <br />3. Unfinished Business: <br /> <br />a) Greenfield Park Play Equipment - <br /> Opening ceremony was held at 5:30pm this evening. <br /> A dedication plaque was created. It will be mounted in the near future. <br /> Greenfield Park is not listed on the City’s web site. The <br />Commissioners requested that this park and associated information be <br />added. <br /> <br /> <br />b) Facility Guide Update – <br /> With the recent decision of the City Council not to go forward with the <br />Groveland Park building replacement as proposed, the Commissioners <br />are recommending to delay the printing of the Facility Guide until <br />there is more information pertaining to the Groveland Building. <br /> Also, with the recent approval of the Medtronic proposal to develop <br />the golf course property and associated issues pertaining to the sale of <br />the property and possible petition to put the sale of the property to a <br />city-wide vote, the Commissioners wanted to look at delaying the <br />printing to late fall of this year. <br /> <br /> <br />c) YMCA Committee Update – <br /> At the last YMCA Committee meeting, the committee discussed issues <br />associated with City Hall relocating to the Community Center during <br />the City Hall Rehabilitation Project. <br /> There may be possible impacts to Room A and D, as well as possible <br />impacts to part of the banquette center. <br /> The City Council will be reviewing the City’s fee structure for room <br />and park building rental at the next City Council Work Session – <br />August 1, 2005. <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
