<br />Park and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes <br />September 22, 2005 <br /> <br />Meeting Called to order: <br /> <br />1. Roll Call: <br />Present: Kroeger, Kunz, Palm, Silvis, Aukee, Kunza, <br />Absent: Long <br />Staff Present: Lee, Weldon <br /> <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from the August 25, 2005 meeting – The first motion on <br />page three, the original note did not state who seconded the motion – Kunz. <br /> <br />Minutes for the May and June meeting have not been created. Commissioner <br />Kroeger will create the minutes from the videotapes and submit them at the <br />October meeting. <br /> <br />Motion to approve: Silvis <br />nd <br />2: Kunza <br />Motion passed unanimously <br /> <br />3. Public Input - None <br /> <br /> <br />4. YMCA Advisory Committee Update – The Committee met on September 6, <br />2005. Items discussed included: <br /> City Hall Relocation Plan <br /> Rooms A and B will be used by City Staff <br /> The YMCA will use the banquette center for activities that <br />would have occurred in Rooms A and B <br /> This will be on Monday, Tuesdays, & Thursdays <br /> Temporary Part-time Help during City Hall Project <br /> The YMCA has asked for assistance in setting up and <br />taking down rooms in the banquette center <br /> 2 ½ hours per day, 3 days per week <br /> Community Center Building Security <br /> Will be changing the locks in the Community Center <br /> Showing of the Banquette Center to potential renters <br /> There is a question as to “Who should be showing the <br />banquette center?” <br /> The YMCA does this if they are available, or they refer <br />people to Canyon Grille <br /> The Commission recommended that a list of commonly <br />asked question be developed so that could be handed out. <br /> The Commission recommended that this information be <br />included in the Mounds View Matters. <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
