The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thrivi11x Desirohle Com1111111ity <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE TRIBUTE MEMORIAL PARK CONCEPT 5 DESIGN PLANS <br />WHEREAS, in 2022 the City Council requested that Staff investigate installing a <br />possible Veterans Memorial Park; and <br />WHEREAS, the concept quickly grew to also honor those who have served on <br />the Police Department, Fire Department and Emergency Medical Care; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council also felt there was a need to honor residents who lost <br />their lives in local tragedies, the 1965 Tornado, the 1982 Gas Line Explosion and the <br />2008 35W Bridge Collapse; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council requested a committee be formed to meet and <br />discuss a concept plan, cost and funding options; and <br />WHEREAS, the Committee has met for the last year and reviewed concepts to <br />honor veterans, first responders and local tragedies and has approved The Concept 5 <br />Tribute Park Plas and recommending the Council also approve these plans. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1.Approves the Concept 5 plans for the Tribute Park. <br />2.The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby <br />authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions <br />necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br />Adopted this 24th day of <br />ATTEST: <br />(seal) <br />June, 2024 <br />RESOLUTION 9944
