MOUNDS VIEW <br />of Mounds View Staff R, <br />Item No: 08E <br />Meeting Date: June 24, 2024 <br />Type of Business: Council Business <br />City Administrator Review: <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />Subject: Organized Trash Collection — RFP Update — Review Committee Established <br />Introduction: <br />The city has been exploring/working on Organized Trash since May of 2023. <br />Discussion: <br />Council is familiar with the issue/process and this item is specific to the issuance of the Request <br />for Proposals (RFP) and receipt; of which 7 (seven) were received by the deadline. No late <br />submissions have occurred. <br />Staff has reviewed all seven to assure all components were met. They were. <br />Financial Impact: None <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends establishing a committee of Two (2) Council members to review the <br />proposals, including conducting an assessment of the evaluation criteria: <br />65% - Price <br />15% - Customer Service <br />10 — Cart Roll Out <br />5% - Experience <br />5% - Community presence. <br />And provide feedback/recommendation to council with a goal of Council acting on a Resolution <br />at their July 8, 2024 meeting authorizing staff to enter into negotiations. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Nyle Zikmund <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
