He then encouraged the public to fill out the park survey, which <br />2 would assist staff with learning more about the needs and wants of the public. <br />3 <br />4 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson commented on the large fiber optic plan that <br />5 was being reviewed by staff. <br />6 <br />7 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson discussed how staff had found the problem <br />8 at the splash pad and would have this issue remedied. <br />9 <br />10 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson invited the public to attend the next PTRC <br />11 meeting if interested in providing feedback on an off leash dog park. <br />12 <br />13 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson provided the Council with an update on the <br />14 Spring Lake Road street project. <br />15 <br />16 Mayor Lindstrom asked if the contractor would have the road work done in six days. Public <br />17 Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson stated there would either be resolution or the City <br />18 would keep the bond and retainage to hire another contractor to complete the work. <br />19 <br />20 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson commented on the stop sign survey that <br />21 would be sent to residents along Groveland Road, Spring Lake Road and Red Oak Drive. <br />22 <br />23 Police Chief Zender provided the Council with an update from the Police Department. He <br />24 explained the department was currently short three patrol officers. He stated the recent fundraiser <br />25 was very well received and he thanked the community for their show of support. He discussed the <br />26 Torch Run that the Mounds View Police Department participated in on Friday, June 21. He <br />27 commented on the rock wall events that would be held in the coming weeks. He stated Night to <br />28 Unite would be held on Tuesday, August 6. He encouraged residents to register their neighborhood <br />29 party with the City. He thanked the volunteers and City Councl for their show of support for the <br />30 Tribute Park. He stated he also appreciated the Council's support for the new CSO position. <br />31 Further discussion ensued regarding the coat drive. <br />32 <br />33 City Administrator Zikmund commented on the Juneteenth video that would be posted to the <br />34 City's website. He explained the Juneteenth committee was interested in having an email address <br />35 or other City contact. <br />36 <br />37 City Administrator Zikmund explained staff began working on the mailing for discharging of <br />38 covenants and should be in the mail later this week. <br />39 <br />40 C. Reports of City Attorney. <br />41 <br />42 City Attorney Riggs provided the Council with an update on the Greenwood Drive infield <br />43 development. He anticipated this project would not be developed until next year. <br />44 <br />45 City Attorney Riggs discussed the topic of the Council working with a mortgage company and <br />46 stated after speaking with his colleagues, he understood there was nothing illegal with this, but he <br />
