Resolution 9956, Approving a Janitorial Cleaning Contract for City Hall, <br /> 6 Police, Public Works, Community Center. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve a janitorial <br /> 9 cleaning contract for City Hall, Police, Public Works and the Community Center. He discussed <br /> 10 the proposed three year contract, noting the contract was with a local vendor and recommended <br /> 11 approval. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Mayor Lindstrom explained he had the privilege of meeting the cleaning folks and stated he was <br /> 14 very pleased by the quality of their work. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Clark. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9956,Approving <br /> 17 a Janitorial Cleaning Contract for City Hall, Police, Public Works, Community Center. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Ayes—5 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 H. Resolution 9957, Approving a Service Contract for the Standby Emergency <br /> 22 Generators. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve a service <br /> 25 contract for five standby emergency generators. He discussed where the emergency generators <br /> 26 were located throughout the City and commented on the importance of having these generators <br /> 27 routinely maintained/load tested. He commented further on the proposed service contract and <br /> 28 recommended approval. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Mayor Lindstrom asked if the City has had to use these generators. Public Works/Parks and <br /> 31 Recreation Director Peterson explained the generators are used by the City in the event of a power <br /> 32 outage to keep the wells and lift stations operational. He reported the generators can run for <br /> 33 approximately eight hours if the power were to remain out. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Cermak.
